Karen Jones

Karen Jones is a former educator and administrator in public and private higher education in her home state of Ohio for 25 years. After her diagnosis with wAIHA, Karen dedicates her time to finding the best treatment options and quality of life for rare diseases. To meet her mission, she is actively involved in learning and improving education and access by working with pharmaceutical/biotechnology companies, and patient advocacy organizations such as the American Autoimmune/Related Diseases Association(AARDA) and the National Organization of Rare Disorders (NORD).

During her free time, Karen designs clothing for her Etsy store, AKAConnects, manages an Airbnb in Naples, New York, travels, and enjoys her children and grandchildren.
